Photographic Memory

scattered pictures
lay before my eyes
telling the tale
of a life gone by

framed in decades
of turmoil and pain
seems every background
is colored with rain

opaque and black

dark as the film
that was used
photo after photo
shows a soul abused

are the happy times
of negatives defeated
from this ole memory
they've been deleted
