Petals to the Wind

Lets send petals to the wind
As we sing a sweet lullaby
Lets go to sleep tonight
And sing as we cry

Lets whisper stories of butterflies
Lets play a day night clear
Lets blow rainbows full of bubbles
Let continue to hold us dear

And then when we are finished
Playing the whole day long
We will pack up our skipping rope
And finish singing the Jingle bells song

And then as the moon comes
And I close my door at night
All of these wonderful memories
Help take away my fright

And as those lovely petals
Fly up high in the sky
I look at roses flutter
Through this sweet lullaby

And if I get lost in thoughts of horror
I will just disappear off again
And run in the playground
And shut out the pain to win

And now as I go past my roses
Sitting on the front door step
The petals are these with me
Helping me to try to forget
