Shadow

My shadow

A tip toe, an outstretched arm

Thoses messages in the night

You turn around and hear the whisper

A shadow full of fright

And during the years, a companion there

Silently from afar

A tie is cut, the cord is broke

And there alone you are

And what was there forever
Will never be again
And slowly you turn around
And find a solid dear friend
Your shadow, that follows you
Silently through the day
You turn around, it misses you
Again you turn around to pray
And what if you had two shadows
And a third added instead
And then there a sudden fourth
The circle of shadows ahead
So heres to you my shadow
So silent in the night
And lying still in the stars
A tear from your moonlight
